God's Mercy

The Sad Things of Life...

Well, I guess with anything you try to do for the good, you are certain to have the evil powers at work against you.  It is no different at "The Roost".  We have had the misfortune of having to deal with several of these problems already.  We have put so many "No Trespassing" signs up that you can almost see one sign to the other, not to mention gates and cables with signs.  The trespassers that we have caught in person and on camera must have passed at least one sign, while coming on to the farm.  It is sad that our pockets almost burst with the number of keys we have to carry to attempt to keep things safe.
It is our prayer that The Lord will build hedges around "The Roost" and that He will keep all that are working to improve "The Roost"  or that are engaging in activities safe under His watch.
Below are photos of some of the trespassers that we have seen.  Please be in prayer for these people and that they will honor the laws and regulations of the land.

Trespassers Caught on Camera

This man has been told by our neighbor land owner to stay off the property, a game warden and us. Yet we keep seeing him.
This was a group of about six 4 wheelers that we caught. They tried to out run us, but we caught them.
Signs and cables are everywhere. We had gates, but they got stolen!
Trying to explain what they were doing. Where he said he was coming from was a lie, because we were watching!
More signs and cables
Trying to keep from being caught!
More trespassers!

Not only do trespassers disobey the laws, but they also leave trash that we then have to clean up.  They also have no regard for the property and will tear it up and do "donuts" causing ruts in the fields.  At least the thief who took the camera left the strap from it for us!

Items Taken as of Date:

Livestock metal gates - 3
Game cameras - 3
Game cameras that send photos - 2
3 point hitch crop sprayer - 1
Battery 12 volt marine deep cycle - 1
Propane tanks 60 lbs - full - 2
Inverter - 1
Tires off the camper and spare - 5
My cowboy hat ( emotional value only) - 1
Prowler 700 4 wheeler - 1
Large berm of soil at end of railroad  - 1

Damage to the Camper:

The camper was broken in to one night, regardless of camera.  The door was forced open and bent.  Items taken were pulled off or cut.  Therefore, the tubing for the propane was cut and also had to be replaced.
The camper with all the tires off and the spare gone!
They didn't just unscrew the propane tanks, the cut the hose.
Messed up!
Also messed up.
Door bottom
It was resting on the scissor jacks and concrete block
Glad it didn't fall over. Thank you Lord!
Yep, they got the tires without any problem.
Broken!

Damage to the Barn:

The barn back door was broken through and then the bolts were taken off the roll up door.  The cables securing the 4 wheelers were cut with a torch, the tractor hood was opened, the camera was knocked off the tree, (and it was high up in the tree, needed a ladder to get to that.  We knew something was up that night because the camera stopped sending us pictures.  The next morning we found out why.) a gas can was sitting outside and everything was gone thru.
BUT God is good.... They had taken both 4 wheelers, but the one that was built for two stopped at the road and they left it there.  We were able to get it back and going again.

The next day and night and next day was spent trying to secure the doors again and keep it safe.  That was a cold night in December sleeping on that concrete floor trying to ensure they didn't come back for more.  The coyotes were howling!
The cable cut by a torch.
The tractors hood was up and battery clamp off.
One of the latches from the big door that they knocked out.
View from outside.
They had placed the gas cans and covers outside.
The camera that was knocked off the tree. We knew something was up that night, because the camera stopped sending us pictures every 2 hours.
View from inside.
They knocked out the latches for the big door to get it open.
They cut one of the tongue locks on the trailer.
The other end of he cable that they cut to get one of the 4 wheelers.
The other half of the camera. It was way up the tree.
The other latch.

What do you do?

It has always been the resolve of Buzzard Roost Farms, LLC to prosecute any trespasser or thief that is caught misusing or destroying the property of the farm or it's equipment.  This is not out of spite but out of responsibility to protect the work being done here.  It is our prayer for The Lord to build hedges around "The Roost" and to protect it from damage.  But this is our prayer, it may not be in God's ultimate plan.  We will continue to do all that we can to protect and use as directed by Our Heavenly Father.  We hope that you will join us in this prayer.

Covert Scouting Cameras

We have placed several types of cameras throughout or property in order to observe and capture images of any activities at "The Roost".  We have determined the best cameras for our purposes have been the Covert Scouting Cameras.  They are available in various types from those that will send you a picture, to the regular flash camera and all those in between.  We were so impressed with the cameras, we became dealers.  If you would like to purchase a camera, just email us at: BuzzardRoostFarms@gmail.com and we will get you one ordered.  We think you will like them.
